Elizabeth has over 30 years’ experience advising banks, financial institutions and corporates on a wide variety of finance, regulatory, corporate and commercial arrangements. She is an acclaimed derivatives and structured finance lawyer with a record of proactively supporting clients in growing their businesses.
Elizabeth is passionate about using her expertise and wealth of experience to support clients in finding creative solutions for legal challenges in their business.

Josefina Bonsundy-O’Bryan

Josefina is a commercial lawyer with experience across corporate, regulatory and international arbitration matters. She advises businesses and private clients on cross-border transactions, contentious issues and strategic commercial challenges.
She has been involved in matters raising complex multi-jurisdictional considerations, including investor-state disputes and cross-border corporate reorganisations.
Josefina approaches matters with clarity, structure and careful attention to detail, combining rigorous legal analysis with commercial awareness. She is valued for her composed and professional approach in negotiations and contentious contexts.
Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Josefina worked with Microsoft, the Global Fund and the German Development Agency, and has lived and worked across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. This international background informs her understanding of global markets, regulatory environments and culturally nuanced negotiations.
She is fluent in English, French and Spanish, with working proficiency in Portuguese and working knowledge of Arabic.

Acted in the representation of a Central African State in a public international law dispute before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea under UNCLOS, concerning USD 55 million freedom of navigation claims.

Acted for an Italian construction company in a bilingual arbitration before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, pursuing EUR 180 million treaty claims relating to national sports infrastructure.

Acted for multiple claimants in a group action against a cryptocurrency platform following the liquidation of digital assets, coordinating loss analysis and cross-border recovery strategy.

Acted on a cross-border corporate reorganisation involving an Ireland-to-UK company “flip”, managing execution and post-completion filings.

Led the negotiation of an employee exit in relation to claims brought under the Equality Act 2010, securing a confidential settlement.

Acted for a venture fund on its investment into a UK growth company, leading due diligence and advising on corporate risk mitigation.
